Hi
Manish,
The question like that is based on one's personal choice or intention..for choosing HR as an career. So its upto the Individual to decide on what basis it has been chosen...
My Views..
1. personal choice or interest to get settled with less tension work in life which is not actually.;-)
2. If One took HR as Career option, the competitors are less, compared to Marketing and Accounts
3. If one is not interested in any other field like Marketing or Accounting, or weak in grasping the knowledge in those areas...Its better to be safe in the HR.
4. Individual Interest in being with employees and share joys and sorrows..in an working environment, if one is employed.
5. Individual Interest in studying the human behavior connected with group and organizations behavior.
Lots of points to add, Manish now you start adding further........!

Dear Manish,
I think its about your own interest,if you are capable of handling others problems, want to be happy in others joy ,i think HR is for you.
Also it matters which part of HR interests you the most like recruitment, pay roll management ,training & development etc.
but frankly speaking if you want a profession which involves taking care of people you can go for HR,its like being a mother of a house who takes care of her family in thick and thin.

Godhuli :)
