Hello! I have been working as a generalist HR for the last 5 years in IT industry. I wanted to shift to a role with more responsibilities and scope of growth. The problem is that the responses are generally for similar roles from similar companies. I also don't know how to overcome this.
I heard from a few consultancies that some companies do not hire people who did graduation through correspondence. I did my graduation and postgrad through distance.
Connecting with people on Linkedin has not helped as either they do not respond to messages or when they do, they do not have positions open.
I also considered getting SAP certified, but the cost and having interviewed a few unemployed SAP certified people made me think otherwise.
If anyone can suggest a solution, I would really appreciate.

The same problem I am facing. Its really hard to get a better opportunity when you are distance learner.

Dear S Arefin,
What is happening with you is unfortunate, nevertheless, the reasons for your candidature getting eliminated could be different. First one is of course intense competition. Second pertinent reason could be your existing role. What exactly do you do in HR? If the role is too narrow then prospective employers could be considering you a novice.
Your concern about your qualification is understandable. Nevertheless, what matters is not whether you did your graduation through full-time course or through correspondence but how much knowledge you have retained. Secondly, whatever you have learnt whether you could apply in your job. Lastly, what something new you learnt and then applied it in your job. Possibly, you could not get opportunity to do all this.
Keep on trying. But then be prepared for the interview forever. When the opportunity strikes that you may not know. That time, because of your unpreparedness you should not while away your chance.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar

Hi Savitha,
If accident occurred in factory premises then have to submit accident report form-12 within 48hrs of accident. After admitting in hospital the treatment procedure will be done. After the ip will get leave amount from esic in his/her sanctioned leave and at final stage the ESIC branch will send IP to Medical board for the fitness. The pension will be eligible to the IP in case of only permanent disablement(Loss of any part of the body), in other cases the ip will get treatment and leave amount from the ESIC. I hope this post helps you. If any mistakes can suggest.
Regards,
Meera Sharif.

Hello Arefin,
I agree with Mr. Divekar.
And you must not think about what other people are saying or think. Instead of doing this, you must try to increase enhance knowledge and prepare for your upcoming interviews. If you want to work with core HR, you must have to enroll yourself for relative certificate courses which will definitely help you.
About, distance education, I personally know many of my contacts who are sitting in top management with many good companies and have done their post graduation from distance education.
Apply for more jobs, be confident with your present knowledge and experience, keep learning.
Good Luck
