Hello Jaffershere,
Looks like you ARE right.
There's no PF deduction.
Reg the INSURANCE, the Full payment, Actual payment & Deduction are the SAME.
More important than these factors, there's NO name, designation, month for which salary is being paid--basic accounting info.

Hoping that the accounting info (details of candidate's employment) is mentioned in the salary slip, you can ask the candidate to submit the same with company stamp & signature of the concerned HR. If it is computer generated it should be mentioned accordingly. Also, you can send the same for verifying at his current company. Wrt to PF possibly the candidate might have opted out. It is difficult to judge whether this is fake basis the upload in excel.

Hi Jaffershere,
Ask the employee to submit 6 months bank statement if salary crediting to bank account.Otherwise you can send a mail to concern HR asking about employee background where you can ask about salary parts also.

Hi,

There is a possibility that since the basic salary is more than Rs.6500, the employee may not be having PF deduction.

Medical is normally paid by companies upto maximum limit of Rs.15000 in order to provide tax benefit to the employee i. e Rs. 1250 pm or less depending on the slab as per category of the employee. However in this case it is Rs. 1650.So this is one point of doubt.

The layout/format of the slip is doubtful on earnings side it is full and actual whereas on deduction side it is just actual.Normally deduction cannot be categorised as part of actual. It is done fully.

Insurance is shown on Earning as well as Deduction side. How is this possible? .

In payslips the Net Amount is normally mentioned in figures as well as words but over here it is just figures. Again a doubt to be clarified.

I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU CALL THE CANDIDATE TO YOUR OFFICE WITHOUT AND GET ALL THE COMPONENTS CLARIFIED.IF HE IS ABLE TO ANSWER IT MEANS HE IS NOT CHEATING.

Do a reference check with the HR of his previous company. Also you can ask for FORM NO 16.

Hi,
Firstly, payslips usually are in PDF format, else downloaded from the employer's intranet / HRIS as an XL spreadsheet, but these contain a lot of information pertaining to the employee. It is advisable to get it validated by an external agency such as Quest First Advantage or a direct call / email to the issuing company.
A 6 month bank statement and Form 16 would help establish facts.
Thx

Hi All,
Thanks for the responses. Let me give you a little more details about the payslip. Its actually a computer generated one and is in PDF format. I've extracted only the salary break-up and given in an excel file. Sorry to not have mentioned this earlier.
