One of my friend has given a 3d modelling test in a company and was selected for a technical round of interview.
Then the technical round happened and then subsequently HR came for discussion.
They discussed about salary, date of joining etc etc . Suddenly the next day HR send a message in whatsApp saying she was rejected. When asked about the reason HR replied her background verification failed.
As there was no false information in her cv Or during her interview my friend requested HR to let her know the reason about what exactly failed in background verification but this time HR said she was not selected as they got some candidates whose salary demand was less than her.
She is very frustrated right now and can there be any legal step against the HR or company for this.
