Please guide, whether a Pvt Banking company having branches Pan India , can have a Permission for maintaining records by electronic System?
Whether such permission will be from central? or
Such permission need to be secured from respective state in which its operate?

you should avail exemption from the state in which you are operating.

Yes, you need to apply to assistant Labour Commissioner’s office for such permission and it is granted.

Partha_16 It will be required for all states in which you are operating. There after you need to maintain these records in the format electronically .

You have to get the approval of Labour Department of appropriate government of each individual branch.
Records are nothing but, proving to the labour department, that you are not violating labour laws and treating all workers properly with basic necessities and social security.
If your online records can prove it, and if there is a robust system to store them (protection from hacking) properly, labour department surely welcomes your move.
