Dear All, Kindly clarify whether VPF can be allowed 100% of Basic + DA.
If yes, whether cap on 50% of deductions (including VPF) on Gross Salary is applicable. Some say, PWA is applicable only if wages is less than or equal to 18,000/- p.m. and hence employees earning more than 18,000/- p.m. are excluded from this 50% cap on deducations from Gross Salary. It is confusing as EPF allows 100% wages towards VPF but PWA restricts deductions not to exceed more than 50% of Gross salary. Kindly request your clarity on this issue whether we can allow 100% Basic plus DA towards VPF when there is a restriction in PWA.
