I am working for very well known Mannufacturing org.:-P Here we have finished with performance appraisal. we have practise of calculating competency index based on ratings secured by employees in thier appraisal forms. there are 5 competencies on which each individual is rated on the scale of 5 to 1. Please let me know if anyone of you is aware of such practice. :unsure: Also share how to calculate competency index?
One method which i know is average. is any method to find Competency index?:confused:

Yes, Nikitalk is right. You weight the factors in a similar way the factors in Quality of Work Force Index are weighted Explanation of the Quality of Workforce Index <link updated to site home> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) . However, you have to be sure that the same weights are applicable to every area.
