Dear Friend
Such employees on deputation on overseas projects/assignments will always required insurance coverage and his legal heirs will definitely get compensated. However, since ESI has presence in India only, he may not get the benefits overseas. However, you can claim certain benefits from ESI Corporation since the company has paid ESI contribution in respect of such employees. Please contact the nearby ESI office before deputing an employee on overseas project.

when an employee goes to his hometown then definitely coverage exists aftyer filling form 105 ( am not sure abt the correct form nos) but overseas is not a possibility since insurance covers do not extend automatically once you cross the country..
people need to go in for a seperate cover for the temporary period overseas. the same happens when foreigners coime to india too..
