I am writing an MSC in OSH thesis on 'Factors contributing to inconsistent use of PPEs by employees of a Power utility company while working on electrical power systems'

Waht is important is to identify the hazards of the chemicals being used by you.
To do this refer to MSDS, which would have defined the type of PPE's.
Refer to relevant IS code for those PPE's and procure them.
Have your own quality checkups as per the IS Code.
This will serve your purpose.
