If you do that.... next time u will get a target of doing the same thing in 1 month!
Remember...
People who work hard... get more work
People who do not... get bonuses and increments
Just sit tight and if you are able to acheive the entire target soon... show that u did it earlier than expected.. such as 2.5 months instead of 3 months... but not 1 month instead of 3 months. Chances are, your boss will say "Oh. that means I gave u too much time"
These are just my views. Experience from the big bad corporate world....

Shikha

Fully agree with Sikha. I have also passed through the same situation many a times during initial stage of my career. I believe thats the right advise. Thanks

50% agree .............this is for them who don't want to work .....I don't think every bosses is like this....how u explained ''OH I HAVE GIVEN SO MUCH TIME'' BOSS KNOWS EVERYTHING COZ HE IS YOUR BOSS...IF HE WILL FIND ,U HV FINISHED UR TASK IN ONE MONTH ONLY INSTEAD OF THREE MONTHS ,HE WILL APPRECIATE UR EFFORTS ...HE WILL DEFINITELY UNDERSTAND UR EFFORT ,UR DEDICATION TOWARDS UR WORK ,,,,,, SO DON'T STAY NEGATIVELY AS U DESCRIBED UR bad EXP .....if boss don't have knowledge ,he only do like this as u described....

YA i too agree with Abhishek views....Boss's have much more experiences & knowledge ... We don't much a mistake by underestimating nor overestimating them...They are aware of every inch happening..Control's & Reviews are their major jobs...So go ahead & put your work..Surely,you will be appreicated & Boss's give targets more to the doers..Si if you want to learn more you have accept the targets.Take his appointment well in advance & make powerpoint presentation to take his views & suggestions further.Good luck

Yaa don't do this mistake as employers has this tendency they definately load u with lots of work n sometimes other's work too.
so think twice b'4 doin so
smart work is good i mean we are employed b'cuz of our abilities n skills to do the job but sometimes when we work so fast or attain a success in a short period ..our seniors/boss
expect lot more frm us due to which we have to sacrifice so many things at work.
I totally agree with shikha.
Have a nice day ahead

I also agree with Shikha that persons who do not do work on time and say they are loaded will get increment this has happened with me also BUT though I was not demotivated I didn't stop doing things on time the reason being as much you work you will learn more & more so work with a motive to learn & I am sure this will definately give returns not in short run but in long run.

Dear Radha,
Only 25% has been completed in 10 days.
Please wait and complete the 75% and then get to set the trumpet blowing.
I dont disagree with Shika, but not all bosses are same. Chances may be that Radha's boss (after she completes the 100% target before the set time) may even consider her for bigger projects.

Think positive. There are good bosses who are really interested to groom the young lad and recognize suitably.Don’t expect any rewards instantly.Because you are being paid for you are doing.

Dear Radha,
I totally agree with Asha Mathew but instead of getting disheartened take it as if you have learnt the art of being proactive. Burning the midnight oil is one thing and addition of bigger meatier assignments in your KRA's is another. Together by smarter execution you will definately achieve career growth (may I add here that how well you sell yourself after achieving the targets is also equally important). All the very best in your future endevours.
