Respected seniors, kindly give me your valuable thoughts to add on my knowledge .

I am mba in h.r & marketing passed out in 2012 , Starting with my career I was looking for an h.r job but in my city job opportunities are not much moreover if there is h.r vacancy that requires experience, so inspite of wasting time, I joined telecom & worked as Asst sales manager for 5 months as it was offroll job i left it & dn i got an opportunity to work as an Asst Sales Manager in Mnc. ( insurance co. ) bt due to family reasons i have to again leave dt job.

As an M.b.a H.r i want to work with an M,N.C & see my job Life cycle moving upward but problem with me is I am fresher in H.R. whenever i go for an interview prb i face is ;

1 my experience is in sales bt i want to shift in h.r ? My c.v contradicts what i started my careers with & what exactly i want to be.

2. ist job was for 5 months, 2nd : 4 months & that leaves a negative impression on recruiters mind.



I left my 2nd job in Jan 2013 & yet i hvnt got job yet , does this gap wl be negatively affecting my career??

Moreover , i have gone through all the ppt regarding p.f, e.s.i.c , leave mgt on this site to add on my knowledge but how can i make my c.v more attractive?

Sd i go for h.r trainning provided by some institutes or i sd start up my career as h.r recruiter? your thoughts , advises are highly beneficial as i have experienced it by gng through other cases.

Nice, you have done MBA in HR & Marketing with around 9 months of experience..
As you mentioned "i want to work with an M,N.C",initially do not concentrate on that... try to get a job in small companies where they count your experience like HR & Business development . gain enough knowledge on HR related things and try to switch to HR...
This is my experience... initially was into HR & Business development with 15-25 members company. Now am an HR with around 150 associates company...

Is it that you first wanted to try your hand at sales and when you found it tough, you want to switch to HR ? Be sure what you want to be in future and which career stream you like. Otherwise, you will be rotating yourself among various jobs. Spend some time to decide. If you have made a conscious decision to go for HR, then revamp your CV to connect your sales skills to HR so as to prove to the employer as how they are relevant. It is pertinent to mention here that HR too needs to market various HR products to internal customers i.e employees. For example, a HR professional also needs to convince employees as to how a particular training benefits him or how a particulr policy is beneficial to them. Try to get into retail business as HR as your sales skills can be found handy by the employers there. All the Best.

Hi Tamanna:
First of all i would like to suggest is, please write in full instead of using short cuts. This is a professional site, here you talk to seniors and it is not appropriate to speak in mobile messages language with seniors. From next time on wards, have a habit of typing full words.
Coming to your point, since you have not got any job, i don't think that it is going to affect your career anywhere. Because everyone knows now market is freeze, it is very hard to get jobs easily.
And about the impact of your sales/ marketing job on the recruiters, what i feel is, you should share the fact with them. You can directly tell them that why did you join marketing job. And i find positive thing in it. Instead of cribbing all the time, you actually put efforts in upgrading your knowledge not in HR but at least in marketing. Since, you dint get any job in HR, you started your career with marketing since your are a dual specialized candidate. Nothing harm in that.
