Shreeaanand
HI all,
I am Shree. I have completed Masters in Management in London, UK and currently doing MBA HR in Chennai (though my Bachelors degree is not related to administration). I have three years experience as Customer Service Assistant and really new to HR jobs. I am planning to do SAP. My confusion is whether to choose SAP-HR or SAP-CRM. As I have experience only with customer service I have an option of SAP-CRM. I am looking to enter to HR roles in my career. I would be grateful if anyone can kindly help me choosing the right option for my career .
Thanks

Dear nand,

You are pursuing MBA HR from Chennai, and u have an experience in customer support,, Let me Clarify,,

SAP is an Worlds Largest 4th Software introduced by German in 1972, where it comes for the platform of ERP

Baan
Peoplesoft
Oracel Application
JD Edwards
SAP

are the ERP software which are mostly used in world wide, according to recent statistics still there is a requirement of 25-40% hike of sap consultant in various modules presently in world wide we have only 15% consultants are available in various modules
IF u r having an interest in HR careers u can pursue SAP HR module where sap hr is 4.7 r/3 version and sap HCM is 6.0 ECC version the difference
between these two version are

ESS -- employee self service
MSS-- Managerial Self Service
E- Recruiting
CATS - Cross Applications Time Sheets
are the some of the new topics which covers in the 6.0 version of ECC.,

Where as any Graduation is eligible to enter into SAP platform,, and Domain Experience gives an advantage over subject and work environment too

There are some companies which are taking MBA HR fresher and SAP HR knowledge people to directly deploy in the projects after giving certain time period training,,with some conditional basis on JOB

SAP CRM (Customer/Client relationship Management) is advanced version of SD (sales and distribution) where in companies Most of the experience consultant are shifted from SD to CRM internally, where as direct recruitment presently in the market are less chances according to my knowledge, Hope market rises in these few months we have statistics of raising

Pursuing SAP CRM is a Better option

Dear DEV,

Has you are having a good domain experience u can pursue SAP CRM where as, companies will consider you as a Associate SAP CRM functional Consultant only,, your domain experience will be added advantage in work nature.
