Sir, can anyone confirm whether the maharashtra state govt has declared holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act in Mumbai for 16 Feb 2012 municipal corporation elections. i am asking this as different people are opining in different ways

This notification does not indicate whether the holiday is under NI Act. Hence whether the Banks are declared holiday or the banks will be working on 16th feb 2012. Kindly clarify

The notification i have posted is applicable only to commercial and Industrial establishments including shops to which the public holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act do not apply.
