Being as an HR, i would suugest you to be punctual, instead you should come 15 min prior to your off timing, late coming is always a bad habbit.
In your case may be your boss is concerned because you a HR or may development team has no time boundation, they may be available late hrs or round the clock also.
As you are fresher ur boss doesnt want you to take the late coming as granted.
Being a fresher you have to be more dedicated for your work and its timings, this will lead you to success in less time.
Being as an HR you have to restrict yourself first to the rules and regulations, policies and procedures than you can be authoritive towrds other employees.

Hi Dear,
I agree to yaasmin, that being an HR of a company you should always be on time because you will create examples for others.
May be you are screened at this point of time by your boss. So don't take your job leniently as it all will be countable at the time of appraisal.

Thank you i’ll do the same. But it is not that i am always late but due to certain unavoidable circumstances it happens. But i’ll try to do what you suggested.......

un certainities always happen with us so wake up at 5.00 am intead of 5.30 and do the same regular work with same regular speed then everything will be sorted out automatically. In my case in mumbai travelling early to office avoids rush in local train, availability of taxis (taxis standing for us till 9.15 but after 9.15 we stand for taxis), reporting early at time machine (which is very good to see at the end of the month) and most importantly you are not seen as late comer.

O my friend,
Since you are a fresher, you complain like this. Working in an organization that too as head of HR is totally different from college life. My suggestion is that, please refrain from reporting this incident to any1 in your organization which will not only keep you in poor light but embitter your boss more to treat you bad.
As many of our friends in this forum suggested you must set an example for others to follow. A person who ought to monitor others cannot err. Take this as a learning point and for future guidance. Taking all responsibilities may be good for your learning things so as to get importance over others but when you feel it more than to chew, you will suffer especially when you don't get recognition. Please be careful.
Those who suffer and lament at the beginning of their career would develop by efflux of time. I wish you all the best.
Best wishes,
R.Ganesh

In any organization, being a HR personnel needed more responsible, more punctual to everything, so that every others personnel could follow you, because sometimes a HR personnel becomes policy maker and if he will not follow the rules & regulations then he could not expect from others. so plz be punctual and responsible with the post of HR.
Thanks.................

Dear Francis,
I do agree with Yaasmin and others, being an HR you cannot excuse yourself and any management will expect you to play an EXAMPLE ROLE to other employees so stop blaming and complaining, regularise yourself (don't be demotivated or feeling regret, NOBODY's Perfect on the other hand mistakes cannot be continued).. proud to be an HR.
