Dear All,
Our company has recruited freshers as all our resources. few of them have completed one year. And then problem started internally, all of them are lacking attitude, communication and the basic ethics on every aspect with that management is facing problem, as i have joined in this company newly as a HR. So what i think is to guide them in a right way also management told me to take conduct good HR practices for the company going forward.. so can some one help on it to over come from this situation.

for management development you must take initiate. As we know for adjusting the new compay employe's are having little bit problem. i suggest that, you must take appriase the employee's according there lacking you may take training programme for those all..

I cannot imagine ALL employees having 'ATTITUDE'!
What exactly do you mean by attitude? Attitude or righteousness, as I understand it, could also be used to your advantage. You need to study the exact cause and its implications and then find a solution which must be tailored to target each individual separately.
For all you know the fault may lie with the management.
There is an old saying: "When things begin to go wrong, you must start looking for the cause in increasing concentric circles, with you as the centre".

This is a typical case where ever the SMT self managed team concepts are being implemented.10-20 % training is essential in these circumastances and it must be a combination of technical and behavioural training.The faculty can be an internal faculty and the ppl should be made to preoccupy with SGA activities like 5S,Kaizen etc.Moreover performance linked appraisals and motivation is essential.Watering is necessary to develop a good garden and in the process weeding out some unwanted plants is essential to make the garden green and good.HR plays a crucial role in all this.It should not nbe left to the mercy of supervisors.

I think you must identify - skill issue or will issue.
If they don't possess the right attitude, then it is a case of will issue. They may have the skill to perform tasks but lack will.
Either you as H.R associate or their reporting manager should have a one to one session with them and let them vent out their reason for behaving the way they are.
If there is a problem with their basic ethics, again, I would say this is a case of WILL issue. Some disciplinary action can be taken in terms of a warning letter or something similar. Be sure to have given at least one verbal warning to such guys.
If they lack communication skills, they can certainly be trained. There are various programs that can be conducted for the young lot. Engaging them in communication skills workshop will enable learning for them as well as can serve as a break from daily work routine.

Yes all the employees will not have an "ATTITUDE" problem, but because of few employees every one is effecting. The same thing happened with us because of small small issues they are wasting valuable time of the company and gathering people and conducting meetings in the office hours. as HR person from the management side we have taken necessary action on the person who is initiated that. but we have to take care about that in feature no one should not repeat that again right. Our Management Instruct me that to conducting good HR practices to the employee so please help me on that. I need a suggestion on what are topics do i have to cover

that was grate suggestion, yes as you understood it is WILL ISSUE only. I have taken disciplinary action on them accordingly from management side as a HR. In future not to repeat such things management ask me to conduct good HR practices to the employees. so what are all the aspects do i have to take training.

I think more analysis of this problem is necessary. You are a new employee to other employees, although you have joined in HR dept. So take advantage of this situation. Be friendly and talk friendly with them in a native language and try to figure out root cause.

After this analysis if you find out that employee communication skills and not following office general ethics is a root cause, then you can use few methods.This problem might be because they do not know how to behave professionally as they are freshers. Add some general ethics in company policies on general ethics (Eg. dress code policy, greeting on phone policy for receptionist etc.) and take a training session of each team separately on the changed company policies in which you need to convince them why it is necessary to be followed. Observe for 1 week after finishing the training. If there is no improvement follow strict measures like verbal warning for 1st violation, warning letter for 2nd violation and pay cut after every violation after that.

About the communication skills, you can arrange the training for each team individually an interactive communication skill enhancement training program. You can make a rule that on one specific day of a week everyone has to speak in English to each other and one who speaks maximum correct English would get a small prize like a chocolate for first few weeks. Have surprise visits on that day.

In case of performance related issues, you can introduce performance linked incentives. You can also have employee of the month and employee of the year based on performance who will get a reward.

Hi Chitra,
That was a grate suggestion, will try to implement that. Even we have already given a nice secessions to all the employees from outside who is well Exp in teaching on communication skills, Office, Phone, Email ethics also from the management side we have spent nearly 65k on it. but no change all the material which provide on them they kept a side on the desk's :). So i'm in search of new activities (also include your suggestion).

You have stated the problem and the measures taken so far. Please share the reasons that you have observed. Solutions would depend on what causes the the new employee not be motivated enough, to act accordingly.
Behavior is a result of number of issues including, environment, information provided, incentives to behave in a particular way, supporting areas and etc.
You shared the training arranged so far, showed no result. What was the follow-up actions taken post training? Were they allocated any assignment or mapped through any assessment?
Culture and behavior building requires constant simulation by leaders and corrective actions for true internalization.
