Dear all Kindly suggest can we hold salary if any one left before one month completed, if he/she signed same terms & conditions in appointment letter

Hi,
If the employee absconded from duty without any information then his /her salary can be kept on hold and can be adjusted against shortfall in notice. Your Appointment should have a clause towards this.
However if the employee submit resignation properly and serve notice period then his salary needs to be paid.
