Based on your nature of business in India ( whether you run a factory, or shop), the complexity can change.
Number of employees is another factor which you have to look in to
Whether you have trade unions in your India business unit - If yes, how many of them are recognized
Do you maintain 100% statutory compliance formalities in India - If yes, things would be smooth. If No, definitely there can be roadblocks
My suggestion is to seek the help of an expert in this field than opinion based decision and action plan.
Experts who help companies to get through the exit formalities are available in most of the Indian cities.

Thanks for the reply, yes all statutory compliances have been addressed and there is no union as this is a sales office and we only have very few staff Best Regards Dolphy

Pravin,
A legal notice is sent by a lawyer on behalf of the company. It is not sent by the company. I believe you want to send him a memo as a first step. Not legal notice. But, to send the memo, one needs to understand the background of the case. In absence of it, no one can help
