CL stands for Casual Leave. It is given based on company's norms and regulations....In manufacturing organization, CL is given as 9 for a year on pro Data basis based on the number of days worked by an employee in the previous year...CL lapses at the end of every calendar year.
SL stands for Sick Leave. It is given based on company's norms and regulations....In our manufacturing organization, SL is given as 8 for a year on pro data basis based on the number of days worked by an employee in the previous year...SL is carried forward in case there are any left for the next calendar year...
PL stands for Privilege leave. It is also called as EL (Earned Leave) in some companies. It is given based on company's norms and regulations....In manufacturing organization, PL is given as 30 for a year on pro data basis based on the number of days worked by an employee in the previous year...PL more than 90 days are encased in company. PL if left in the current year are carried forward to the next next year....
CL and SL are given to all employee as per national and festival holiday act.
CL - 7
SL-7.
Most of the companies make policy regarding Leave .....Dats called Leave policy and mentioned in HR Manual.
in dis policy, companies encase the balance leave after the year end ,so that number of absenteeism never increase and company never bear the Loss of production time.
Some companies Lapses both the CL and SL after the year end.....and some companies Lapses only Balance CL but they carry forwarded SL or encase that SL.
and about pl.......PL another name is Earned Leave (EL)
this PL calculated on the working days of employee,,,,,20 working days = 1 EL.
The formula for Calculated PL :- Total working days/20=total PL or EL....
so please firstly clear,,,,,,,whats d policy in ur organization regarding Leave Policy
thanks
