Hi, I joined my job on 15-07-2019. I took a sabbatical leave for 1 year starting from 29-08-2023
I had to rejoin but I informed them I couldn't due to family issues. I informed them on the last day of my sabbatical, that is 28-08-2024. I dropped my resignation. The company has a policy of a 45-day notice period to serve, I told them that I couldn't serve it.
I just want to know if I am eligible to claim gratuity. My five-year period ended on 15-06-2024, though I was on sabbatical then, and the leave was without pay. Many thanks for considering my request.
