Dear Abhay,
All the information on chemical safety is made public now. It is easy to get it from ineternet. Just check "safety in handling solvents" and you will get all that is required. Also you can download MSDS of every chemical which will guide you too.
Anyway the ppt on solvent safety is attached which may also be of much help.

Dear Mr. Kesav / Abhay Girish
It's really a good presentation needed for better understanding.
Thanks for sharing.
I suggest for Solvent Safety that
It is one type of chemical and using MSDS anyone can understand the properties like physical & chemical, Fire Hazards & measures, handling & storages, etc.
I request to Abhay to make presentation on each head of MSDS with example of solvent used at your site will help you more to spread awareness.

Dear Keshav/Abhaya
It is really good presentation. Dissemination of knowledge on MSDS in vernacular language for the operating operatos at factory will go a long way in Chemical and solvent SAfety. Otherwise distastes are damaging severely.

Every chemical has something called Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). You may download the same from Internet. One such site is MSDS Sheets for Health & Safety Compliance - Search & Manage Data Sheets | MSDSonline.com. MSDS provide all the information including effects of the chemicals on Humans, effects of long term exposure, actions to be taken in case somebody comes in contact with it, etc. Hope you would get the required information. Otherwise please mail me for further info.

Dear Friend,
Everyone had contributed to explain in depth about various types of chemicals etc.. Kindly ensure that SOP are in place at every site and then monitor its effectiveness . Further you can suggest to your management to go for EMS ISO 14001:2004 certification whereby the management will be driven to maintain all safety measures including legal requirements .
