Need:-Intimation letter format to ESIC, if now one of our branch offices there is one employee covered under our ESI-Sub code has resigned- what is the procedure to intimate ESIC official?
There is no employee covered under ESIC, contribution is not calculated from May-16 as our covered employee is resigned on Apr-2016. We have shown him resigned in the month of May-16 with Zero (0) working days under category, kindly suggest me the procedures, what to do?

1. Sir, if at present, you have no covered or coverable employee under ESI Act, 1948 and rules/regulations framed thereunder, then you can send a NIL contribution return after close of contribution period to Regional Office as well as Branch Manager concerned. You can also inform by a simple letter to the said department including their social security officer. Non-submission of any such return or information may cause the said department presume that you are defaulter and ESIC can resort to adhoc assessment under section 45A.
2. However, as and when you will again employ covered/coverable employee, then again compliance is required to be made.
