Sir,
I work in a company which has its own provident fund trust which manages the provident fund of its employees. Recently , they collected a lot of documents from us employees for UAN (Universal account number) scheme. My question is after the UAN becomes operational for EPFO , will employees like us who are not registered with EPFO, instead registered with company managed private provident fund trust get any UAN number? Can we also see our balance online?
Secondly, my company also collected Aadhar numbers for PF UAN purpose. I guess, that means if any of us change job, it becomes mandatory for us to transfer our PF account , instead of closing the old one (and withdrawing the amount) and opening a new one at the new office. My question is after implementation of UAN will there be any problem for transfer of PF account for people like us who are registered with company's in-house provident fund trust?
Any knowledgeable person please help.

You too will get UAN number and the same can be used while transferring. There will not be any problem when you chnage your job. That number can be given to new company to get it transferred

Dear Friend,
It is mandatory by law since beginning. Uptill now we were closing our account wrongfully. Now we wouldn't be do it.
UAN is being introduced to overcome all the problems in withdrawals and transfers.
