Dear Dr Sophia Ansari,

You have not given the context of your query. Why have you raised this query? You are a Doctor. Are you PhD in the field of management? If yes, then why you are seeking an answer from the public HR forum for the case study?

Anyway, let me give a reply for the benefit of the other members of the forum.

The management consultants do not work in a vacuum. To introduce the important HRM policies and procedures, the consultant needs to do the SWOT Analysis of the organisation. The policies and procedures are for improving the competitiveness of the organisation. Technological changes are happening at a rapid pace. The changes are reshaping the customers' behaviour. Against this backdrop, first and foremost evaluation must be done whether the organisation is capable to address the changes. The technological changes are creating new opportunities also. Which are the areas where opportunities can be created?

The education field is also getting reshaped by the technological changes as well as the changes induced by the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the first question that arises is has the education institution introduced the newer courses or are they continuing with the same old courses which were valid yesterday?

The second important thing is to take feedback from the recently passed students. Were the courses effective to address their career needs? What are the strengths and weaknesses of our courses?

There are a few other things that also can be done. However, to give a reply, we need to have a complete understanding. The suggestions can be given after that.

Thanks,

Dear Dr Sophia Ansari,

You have been given an enormous task by your management. Understanding the present status of your organisation will take time. Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your organisation will take still more time. The revamping of the management policies can be done thereafter.

On this forum, the members ask queries. But these are small and it is possible to provide a quick solution. However, giving a solution to the assignment that you have been given is out of the scope of this forum. Typing the whole thing is very difficult. Nevertheless, you may call me. Let us see what possibilities emerge in our discussion.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
