Dear Seniors,
I have joined a construction company in Oct 2010 as a HR Executive. I have performed very well in duration of 6 months. Company appraise to the employees after the completion of one year only. But this time Management has decided to appraise on tenure basis. As i have been working since last 6 months, they have calculated it for six months only. which comes around 10-12 %. My expectations are apprx. 25 - 30%. Should i accept the same or i should talk to my boss & how to convince him.

Dear Ms. Meenu,
i don't understand why there is confusion.
in all as per details, your yearly increment is 20-24% given on prorata basis (06 month) which is good.
this practice is being followed in almost all constrction companies.

Amar

Dear Ms. Meenu,
Though I am not from HR dept. but I feel getting even 10-12 % of increament within 6 months of joining is really great. Instead of thinking much on this issue keep on good work which will not only give you promotion in your position but a big jump in your salary irrespective of %.
