Dear All,
Can any one clarify me the following doubts,
1. If a person works for 7 yrs and left the service from one company and after 1 yr again joins other company and works for 5 yrs. Then he eligible to to receive the pension after getting pensionable age ? If so what needs to be done.
2. if a person after completing 20 yrs of service left the company and after attaining 50 yrs of age utilizing reduced pension option and not withdrawn PF amount and now joins other organization can he use the same PF/EPF account number ?

Dear,
1.It\'s all depend on how your PF a/c and Pension Fund has been treated. Have U continued yr.PF & Pension A/cs from the 1st employer or broke them when joined the other co. In any case U R eligible for pension only when cross the pensionable age and not before that except when U R terminated and remain jobless.
2. Yes. If U have not closed the a/c by withdrawing yr.PF U can as well continue the PF a/c. with original No. irrespective of who is the employer. In which case just transfer formalities have to be complied with.

Dear Sir,My opinion is as follows-
Point No. 1--One can be eligible for pension in this case as he has completed 10 years of Pensionable service, however there will be a break in service and this period will be treated as non-conributable period and as such will not be counted for computation of pensionable service period.
Point one has availed Pension-may be Reduced or Short Service Pension but has not withdrawn his PF amount, he can contribute in PF only and not in the pension Fund., but will have new account number of new estt and may transfer his old account in it or may withdraw old amount as no interest will be given if not contributed after 1-4-2011.
