Hello, I have joined a global startup some 7 months back as Asst HR Manager and KRA was to handle recruitment and other HR operations. since this is a Startup there are no HR process and policies in place.
1st quarter i completed the hiring and forming the team, now i want to get involved in other HR ops things but my boss is not giving me any freehand to work or not agreeing to any proposals or initiatives i take for employee engagement or benefits.
He wants to get involved in all the HR things, even in recruitment where he insist to do reference check himself. I have started feeling that he has hired me only to show compliance part to Govt officials. Even he is not interested in implementing PF, Insurance, leaves (we have only 12 annual leaves) etc.
Need Guidance how to handle this situation, as now i have lost motivation to work and feel like i am in wrong place. Please suggest.. should i speak to my boss (who is the Divisional head-India and not HR Head.. he is Russian.. so don't know much of India policies and how orgn work.. but if i try to give any suggestion.. he does not take it..)
