Dear HR Professional,
Some workplace politics / office politics / organizational politics is going in our company.
But we can not observe that things.
Due to that politics reason, high/key performer is resigning from our company one by one.
At the time of conducting exit interview, that resigned employees are telling that they resigned his job due to inside politics.
How can we stop those things.
Please clarify
Thanks with Regards

Hello, this is a culture issue. You need to change it and to build culture, you need to take the top management/senior leadership on board s without their support, you cannot do it. You can discuss the problem of attrition and the reasons therefor with your senior leaders and stress the need for changing the culture of politics, back biting.and conflicts.

Office politics is a universal phenomena! It happens everywhere! Please work around HR Analytics for FY attrition with documented evidences of reasons for resignation. Create an exit form in case you have none. Compile last one year's data with reasons, map it with ratings of critical and key talent exiting or resigned employees. Data will reflect what talent is leaving the organisation. Present this data to top management as part of monthly review or any structured review. Culture is mostly top driven and your task should be to communicate lapses or eroding culture status with data. Am sure seniors will listen especially when data is authentic. Good Luck!

Office politics is a common issue. However are you sure that the high performers are resigning due to politics only or some other reason/s. Exit interviews are only formality and no body tell the truth of his resignation. Since he is resigning, if the management wants to know the reason, he may tell some or other reason. pl talk to cross section of employees from top to bottom in the hirarchy and try to elicit real reasons for resignations.
try to understand the real problem and try to solve slowly and try to win the confidence of the employees of try to bring change in the atmosphere of the company
In one company, there was a problem where I worked.
before my joining, two young girls committed suicide and the allegations that the top management people raped and killed them. the employees were on strike and the matter was discussed in the state assembly. most of the staff members including the plant head were well thrashed by police.
After end of strike, I joined as Manager
