1. If an employee is on maternity leave, then what marking we should show in the attendance register? Absent, LWP(leave without pay), LOP(Leave on loss of pay)?
Kindly suggest in this regard.
2. If we gave 1 day extra/less pay for a particular month due to wrong attendance then how should we show it in the attendance register, if we want to adjust his pay in the next upcoming month's salary. What should be done in the attendance & salary sheet?
Thanx,

1. You can indicate it as ML (Maternity Leave) in the Attendance Register. It cannot be absent, LWP or LOP. In case the employee is covered under ESI Scheme, put it as ESI Leave
2. The reflection of excess/under payment shall not be reflected in attendance register. As regards Salary sheet you can show a pay factor of salary adjustment with +/- signs
