Hi All,
I, a newbie in CiteHR am conducting a study on these tactics/strategies followed by various companies to retain their talent. The objective is not only to find out the retention strategies adopted by the companies but also to measure the success of organizations in effectively implementing these strategies and the effectiveness of these strategies in retaining the talent…a reality check.
Retention strategies are formulated to fight the talent drain, the poaching attempts made by the competitors, scarcity of talent and moreover to establish a sense of belief between the employee and the employer etc. depending on the industry the company operates in. Attempts are made by the organization to retain the talent primarily when the attrition figures are indigestible to HR managers. Hence, an analysis of reasons why employees leave the organization would definitely become a thumb rule for the employers in formulating retention tactics.
Hence the objectives of the study are:
1. To find out the reasons for huge figures of employee burn-out...in any particular company or industry in general.
2. To study the retention strategies followed by various companies.
3. To examine the reasons why companies are unsuccessful at managing attrition.
Dear friends, I earnestly request you to provide me with your inputs and opinions which would not only be the primary data for the study but also provide me with an opportunity to learn.
Regards
Jaipal

Hi,
For your 2nd objective ( As the order which you have given), i guess, the book "Google story" will help a lot.
It is not only a fascinating insight into the working of a giant but a number of retention measures, as well. Just take care to read between the lines.
As for fact, no employee of "Google India" has left the company since its inception in India.
Happy Finding!!!

Hi, You can look into HCL’s "employee first" initiative and Infosys "ESoPs" story, although later has now become quite old. Regards Team GroupHR
