Hi, In my present company i have joined as a placement executive past two years before but now iam working in multifunctional job HR activities + Admin + Secreterial works + Front office + Placement executive. they r asking to do these all activities and they r not ready to leave me. But still i did not get the confirmation letter from my company. not only me also my subordinates. Kindly guide me, this is the right place to continue my job carrier? Normally probation and confirmation are governed by the company's standing orders. There may be a provision in this regard. It may be like automatically getting confirmed after 6 months of probation or like confirmation if not not given in writing that the probation is extended for a further period. And if your company has no such standing orders then it may be mentioned in your appointment order. Now even in the absence of such clause in your appointment order, your act of signing the muster roll itself is the proof of your presence for work in the establishment. Legally, there is no need of any letter confirming your service. It is only for a mental satisfaction that the same is served. Even if you are not a confirmed employee, you are eligible for all legal rights as an employee. You will be eligible for Bonus (if applicable as an employee drawing not more than Rs 10000), if a woman employee, for maternity benefits, leave encashment and on leaving sevice after at least five years you will be eligible for gratuity also. For these your joining as probationer will be taken in to account. Therefore, dont go in detail about the so called confirmation; it will come by its own way. Regards, Madhu.T.K

Hi Brinda, You got a solution but don't forget you are a HR person also and you are the person to ensure that the systems are inplace, if the same scenario exists you can not terminate / extend the non performers after the probation period hence better advise the management that before completion of 6 months either you should confirm / extend or terminate. Normally in smaller organizations every body will be doing this type of multi activities and really it is a good learning for you also. you will have hands on experience and your employability will be very high but after 2 yrs are so you should look for alternatives. Hi Mr.kameswarao Thanks for your suggestion. The same reason I asked this question bcus officially facing many problems with our co., employees, empys asking thousand Q? about their job confirmation and other details. I don’t have answers. And iam try to pushing the company in the profession way but for this matter magmt not supporting properly, they have so many confusions. Bcus of that reason iam looking change now, but they r not ready to leave me. Thanks once again for ur sugtn.
