Hello Experts, Need opinion on EPF treatment for International Worker....an employee of company has been shifted to Japan branch of the company. Employee instead and applied for Coverage Certificate from EPFO and its now approved also. Post approval and after complete calculation of India contribution now he feels that the total contribution in India is very high and hence he wish to make this contribution in Japan as per japan laws.....my questions
1. Can he withdraw/cancel the Coverage Certificate for the balance period of the coverage certificate?
2. What are the implications of such withdrawal to the company?
3. Can he contribute to japan social security?
Please provide your comments with support of section/rule/Article of bi-lateral agreements of Japan etc...Matter is urgent and hence early reply is appreciated.
