I download few rent receipt to declare my HRA. I am bit confused on the part that why PAN number of land loard is required? If not provided will the receipt be valid?

Actually PAN No is required for rental receipts,but if any land lord is holding PAN No and if he/she is interested to provide it then you can put the PAN No on the receipt.
One More thing is that don't download the rental receipt try to purchase it from nearest stationery shop.
