What is a definition of minimum wages after code of wages act? any changes impact .
There is always confusion that basic + DA= minimum wage or Basic is equal to minimum wages?
Reason behind is DA changes every 6 months in Maharashtra which is applicable to Factory always ( engineering )
Minimum wages is as follow and DA is 4536/-
Skilled 11,255
Semi Skilled 10,160
Unskilled 9,000

Dear Colleague,
'Wages ' under MW Act are defined to include both Basic wages and Dearness Allowance( Special Allowance).
Although the DA varies periodically, it still forms integral part of the term 'wages '.
