You can make slots of 15-20 people and then start up with the selection process, before you start up you can very clearly tell them the parameters on which you will be gauging the candidates, this would also help you in giving the proper feedback.

Hi
Try to begin the interview process as soon as the candidates start coming in. Give them reading material (news papers, books, magazines). Stick to first come first serve.
What to tell rejected candidates? Well, "we are still in the process of finalising candidates. We have your contact number, shall contact you in case you are shortlisted/finalised?
Hope it helps.

we have already selected the candidates. i hv made a check format in which candidate hv to write few info. what we need. Then we screen thre cv on the basis of our requirment. then shortlisted candidate were called for the interview. We take half an hour for screening the cvs . after 2 hour we took half hour break for screening the cvs . we also write the reason in the rejected cvs. If there is another process plz suggest me for future.

Hi, It depends on the job positions. Make your strategy by pedicting the number of applicant expected. It is better to give everyone a schedule after they resister.

Hi
I had faced a similar issue some time back..here is what I did.
1. Hired an external examination place at a centrally located area.
2. The exmination place took care of invigilators to moniter the process.
3. Took written exams of 3 hours( the longer the better! but max 3hrs) Objective type.
4. Rejected alomst 40 % during written
5. Written exmas where conducted using OMR Sheets so the results where declared ideally in 1hr time after the exam gets over.
6. Shorlisted candidates where called for interviews in batches of 50 each.
Crowd Management: All people interested where supposed to register themselves by 8:45. No registrationms where allowed post 8:45.
Exams where from 9 - 12 pm.
results by 12:30 pm.
Interviews 2 rounds (Domain and HR) from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Manpower put into use:
Examination Team: 3 people to scan and generate the results (Invilgilators provided by the exam hall)
Domain Experts for Interview : 4
HR: 2 + 1 (Asst for briefing)
Numbers
Written Exam Capacity : 500
Capacity Used: 350 max
In 8 rounds of walk-in over 3000 people sat for written
2000 domain interviews conducted
600+ selected and offered.
I hope this gives you some idea. I would be happy to share any more info.
Cheers

true, however if you are able to make different sets of questionnares with common features like same number of questions and similar marking it can work..it however depends lot on what are the internal processess for your organisation.
