Dear Friends,
I have recently joined a reputed hospital. I have been assigned the ownership of various processes and training programs, with one of them being conducted in the hospital as an HR. As I am new to this industry and also new to handling the process, kindly suggest how I should proceed with my assignment and create a difference in the team.
I am hoping for varied suggestions. Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Hi,
The first thing you will need to do at this stage is a Learning Needs Analysis to understand the needs of your team and how training can help improve their performance at work. Then, once you finish this activity, determine which section of the staff you want to focus on and proceed accordingly until you have completed all employees. So, consider all these factors and plan well for the training activity. All the best!

Hello everyone,
My suggestion to you is before selecting a topic for your training program, such as leadership, motivation, or time management, you should conduct a training analysis in your hospital. Because in your hospital, you may have several categories of employees, including doctors, executives, staff nurses, nursing assistants, receptionists, kitchen workers, and housekeeping staff. A single training topic may not be suitable for all these categories. First, conduct a needs analysis, then choose the topic, identify the trainers, and conduct the training programs. The training content should be job-oriented; keep that in mind. All the best.

Hi,
To create a training program, you first need to understand the area where the training is necessary. I would suggest that you discuss the training needs with the HODs of each department. Understand where and why the staff falters. Discuss how this could be corrected with the HODs and accordingly create a training plan. For the training program to be successful and beneficial to the company, it is important to involve and create consensus with the respective HODs. I personally consider hospitals as customer/patient-oriented, and stress on this would be a very important part of your training program. Ideally, your training plan will have to include soft skills and technical training.
In case you require any further help, you can email me your requirements at nevilall@yahoo.com.
