Hi, people! I am a new member and must say that this is one sure stop for HR professionals. I want to know which one is a better option out of these:

1) Pursuing MCOM (HRM) from the University of New South Wales, Australia
2) Pursuing MBA (taking HR as specialization) from the University of Technology Sydney

How are the job opportunities in Australia for HR professionals, especially for international students, that too without any prior experience in HR? Please also advise on any other better universities outside of Australia for doing a course in HR. Hope to hear very soon.

Hi Lucky,

The order could be:

1. AGSM - Sydney
2. Macquarie Uni - Sydney
3. UTS (Uni of Technology Sydney)
4. Melbourne Uni
5. RMIT Melbourne

HR, like marketing, requires local knowledge, local culture, local norms, etc. Job opportunities are there; it always depends on your talent and ability. This is based on my own experience for the last 25 years.

One point I missed out from your original questions: Between M.COM [HR] and MBA [HR], my suggestion would be to go for MBA [HR] at UTS, which is more in-demand in the job market and also has better curriculum content.
