Hello Everyone, I trust all is well with you!
I\'ve spent the past 20 years in the IT industry, 11 of which I\'ve been a Technical Architect. Last week, I underwent oral and tongue surgery, and I\'ve noticed a significant change in my speech following the treatment. Could anyone provide insights on the potential for securing a job as an IT Architect in India, considering my current situation? I eagerly await your responses.

Dear Venkatram D,

Very sorry to note that you had to undergo oral and tongue surgery. I wish you a speedy recovery.

In your post, you asked about getting a job in India. Does it mean that you are not working in India and would like to relocate to India after post-surgery recovery? Why would you not wish to continue working in your current job? Are you working or not working?

Whether working or not working, whether you take a job in India or any other country, the answer to your question depends on the requirements of oral communication in your work. You have written in your post that there is a 'good amount of change' in your speech. Has the speech been impaired, and if yes, to what extent? Does the job of an IT Architect require communicating with customers or other stakeholders? Will the speech disability be acceptable to others, or is there a risk of negative impact on business because of it?

We, the members of this forum, are outsiders and cannot provide answers to these questions on your behalf. Against this backdrop, you, as an insider from the IT industry, is a better person to answer the questions.

I once again wish you recovering soon, and getting a suitable job at a suitable place.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
