Hello all,
During the COVID-19 lockdown, our factory was shut down for almost 2 months due to the lockdown and shutdown. I didn't go to the factory from the end of March until the last week of May.
Recently, on 27.05.20, when I returned to duty, I was directed from the upper level not to enter the factory until they call me again. After 15 days, I received an inquiry letter (via courier) asking for the reason for my absence. Upon sending a reply, I received a show cause letter stating that my previous explanation was not acceptable. This time, they asked why I was silent from 14.05.20 to 01.06.20. Additionally, they added two more points seeking clarification. The second point mentioned that my records show my employment as casual, which contradicts our official communication. The third point asked why I did not answer phone calls and mentioned why I was not removed from their payroll. I have been working in the commercial division as a permanent employee (assistant) since 2007. My last payment was for March 2020, covering 22 days; no payments were credited for April and May 2020.
On 20.05.20, I received a message from my HOD that the factory had resumed operations on 14.05.20, and everyone should resume normal duties from 20.05.20 onwards. I responded, stating that I would join within a few days as my bike required major repairs. Upon returning on 27.05.20, a series of events unfolded. Over the past year, my relationship with the commercial head has been strained, despite support from my department HOD and other colleagues. I believe the company may be preparing to terminate my employment. One of my weaknesses is that I have been arriving at the factory 30-40 minutes late compared to the scheduled entry time, which has drawn attention. I suspect they are preparing to issue me a final termination letter.
I seek advice on what to do next. If they attempt to deliver the termination letter in person or through other means, can I choose to accept or refuse it?
Attached are two copies of letters dated 10.06.20 and 15.06.20.
If you require a copy of my responses, I can also provide them.
Thank you.

You have already created ample opportunities for your employer to take action on you. Now the only thing left for you to do is to personally meet with your commercial head along with your HOD, and submit an apology letter for the incident caused by you. Additionally, provide an assurance letter to the company, committing to strive hard to improve your job performance, attendance, and punctuality.
