Hello,
The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 is uniform and applicable to the whole of India. Every Act contains rules under the Act to be followed. These are Central Rules, The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Central Rules, 1971, and State-Specific Rules. Every State has the option to vary some of the parameters under the rules to have State-Specific rules that will be applicable to all industries and establishments under the Contract Labour Act.
