How long can I continue to use my ESI benefits? Will my presence or signature be needed for the treatment and reimbursement of lab tests? My sister has recently started working and has an ESI account. Is it possible for my mother to receive benefits from her account after my resignation?

Please see whether your dependent mother is eligible for super specialty treatment. Your service with the company is only for 10 months, and as per the ESI scheme, in order to be eligible for super specialty treatment, you should have contributed for at least 156 days in 2 years. If she is attached to your sister, then medical care can be ensured, but super specialty services cannot be availed. Sir, my wife worked as a senior teacher in a private school. She resigned in April 2019. After her resignation, can she continue her ESIC account by self-contributing amounts or not? She has not joined another service since her resignation.
