Dear All,

The Government of India, after consultation with the "Employees State Insurance Corporation," has amended Rule 51 of ESIC (Central) Rules 1950. ESIC contribution has been reduced as mentioned below. The amendment is effective from 1st July 2019.

ER-share: old contribution i.e. 4.75% to new contribution i.e. 3.23%
EE-share: old contribution i.e. 1.75% to new contribution i.e. 0.75%

Dear Kumar S.,

Kindly read the attached notification carefully. This includes a reduction of 1.5% in employers' contribution to 3.25% from 4.75% and a 1% reduction in employees' contribution to 0.75% from 1.75%. Please do not interpret it incorrectly.
