Hi Friends, We all know there is in an exemption of IT & ITES companies on declared election Holiday. Is NIGHT SHIFT operations can be as usual or we need to declare Holiday for them too.

There is no exemption to declare a paid holiday on the day of the 'election' for those units located within a constituency. However, for those who are called to work on the 'night shift,' there need not be a paid holiday on this shift. Instead, the shift timing should be adjusted so that the polling timing does not overlap with the shift timing.
Please read the circular issued by the Election Commission and the provisions of the Act attached.
