Increments in the private sector are usually linked to performance, and performance is evaluated once a year through a process called performance appraisal, typically conducted in April each year. This may be why you have heard other employees discussing increments in the next two months. Since you have not completed one year in this organization, it is unlikely you will be considered for an increment unless the company has a policy stating that all employees receive an increment in April regardless of their length of service. I have yet to encounter such organizations. I recommend checking your HR policy for clarification.
