Hello All,

I have been working in the IT sector for the past year and have noticed that candidates often take the offer letter and use it to leverage higher offers from other companies. My company is a startup, and despite hiring six Linux Administrators to date, none have actually joined. I would appreciate any advice on how I can overcome this situation.

Smruti

Hi Smruthi,

I do agree that these types of problems are common with startups. To address these issues, you may need to plan the following:

- Plan the orientation, including the career path, growth options, etc., and explain the same to employees during interviews and before offering the offer letter.
- Share how your organization differs from other companies.
- If possible, consider hiring freshers and training them to meet your requirements. There is a chance that they may perform better.

I hope these suggestions are helpful in managing the challenges faced by startups. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi,

For startup hiring and onboarding, there is a significant challenge. A simple way to address this is by engaging consultants who can provide third-party services on a contract basis. Simultaneously, it is essential to directly hire employees onto the company payroll.

Hi Samruti,

Greetings! You are very right; it's a big challenge to place candidates on the boards of startup companies, particularly experienced candidates. In this case, we suggest that you seek help from recruitment consultants. We can definitely assist your company in finding suitable candidates for the board.
