Hi,
My wife is working in an MNC company. Prior to our marriage, she was employed at NIIT Smart Serve as a trainee in 2003-2004. Her surname has changed since then. I have read discussions on the same topic where it is suggested that a marriage certificate, along with updated bank account details, should be submitted. However, we have not yet applied for a marriage certificate. Her passport, voter ID card, and Aadhar card all have my name listed in the spouse column. We do have our son's passport, which includes details of both of us.
Could you please advise on any alternative proof that can be submitted in place of a marriage certificate for the withdrawal of PF in her maiden name?
Thank you.

Dear Alok,
Greetings for the day,
No documentary evidence is required for the withdrawal of EPF/EPS accumulation. The only thing that needs to be done is to have her Form 19 & 10C filled out by NIIT with her recent name. Also, enclose her bank account details (photocopy of bank passbook) and the employer certificate, in which they have to certify her previous name and current name. Submit all of these to the concerned EPFO for the earliest settlement.
Thanks & Regards,
