You may search everything about minimum wages on this website itself or you may go through the Labour Government websites. Kindly find the latest revised minimum wages, effective from October 2013 for Gujarat.

The minimum wages notification of Andhra Pradesh is given in December for the half year Octoberf 2013 - March 2014 , The press note is generally given in the first half of October .

Dear All,

I am working in Adecco India Pvt. Ltd., deputed to Hindustan Media Venture Limited as an HR/Admin Executive. My problem is, I joined on 20th Nov. 2012. The company (Adecco) deposited the ESI contribution for Dec 2012 in arrears. My wife delivered on 6th June 2013, and then I claimed ESI benefits, but it was not accepted. The CMO wrote to me stating that the benefit period starts from July 2013.

Please advise if I can claim the benefits after six months from my date of joining.

Dear Brijesh,

The CMO has rightly pointed out that your benefit period starts from July 2013. The following is the Contribution period and the corresponding benefit period of six months for you for better understanding.

Contribution period
1st April to 30th September
1st October to 31st March of the year following

Corresponding benefit period
1st January to 30th June of the year following
1st July to 31st December of the calendar year

Since your contribution has started in Dec 2012, your benefit period shall start from July 2013. You may discuss with the CMO for the benefit of claim in respect of your wife's delivery.
