Hi All,
I would like to know what areas will be included in an HR Generalist role. Will recruitment, posting offers, retention, and ER be considered part of an HR generalist role, or is something additional required?
Please do the needful.
Regards,
Revathi.

Hi Swetha,
Thank you so much for such appreciation. It's my pleasure that you like my posts here.
Below, I'm giving details of how the payroll is processed.
Payroll is the salary processing system, viewed from two aspects: HR and commercial. HR personnel process payroll by sending attendance details, including Leave Without Pay (LWP) details, and other information an employee is entitled to for a specific month.
After receiving these details, the commercial team enters them into the payroll software to begin salary processing. When processing salary for a month, HR provides complete LWP details to the commercial department.
When calculating LWP, we prepare the attendance sheet with weekly offs. Besides weekly offs, we track employee absences and leave days, cross-checking with their leave applications. If an employee has an approved leave application and sufficient leave balance, we mark them on leave.
If an employee hasn't submitted a leave application or lacks sufficient leave balance, they are considered absent for that day, leading to a deduction in salary.
Additionally, if there's a provision for extra salary for specific days attended, we calculate the additional payment for employees present on those days.
I hope this clarifies the payroll process for you.

Hello Amit,
I am newly appointed as a Regional HR executive in an insurance company. Here, my profile is focused on Employee Engagement, and I will have to prepare an Employee Engagement calendar for the year 2008. This calendar will be followed in all branches (there are about 30 branches). Please help me prepare this calendar, and if you have already prepared one, please send it to me. I have already downloaded one from Citehr but need more.
Waiting for your reply.

Hi Amit,
I am working in an engineering service-providing company, and I handle core HR work, which means I am the only person handling all HR responsibilities. I am uncertain about what is right in my job profile. I have heard a little bit about an HR Generalist. Can you clarify all these things for me?
Thanks,
Warm regards,

Hi,
I am working in a web service providing company and I am appointed as an HR Executive trainee. I handle core HR work, which means I am the only one person to handle all HR tasks. I am unsure about what to include in my job profile. I have heard a little bit about HR Generalists. Can anyone help me understand how to select a candidate based on more than just their subject knowledge and language skills?
Thanks & Regards,
Lalitha
