I am new to this forum. I have downloaded the E-Return tool from the EPFO website and have created data for my establishment. I have also entered monthly wage details for March 12. However, I don't know how to generate ECR to upload on the website. Can anyone help me with generating ECR using this tool? I can't find any export button; there are only import buttons and no export buttons.

There is no provision for generating an ECR text file in version 3.0 of the E-Return tool. If you have version 4.0, there is a provision for the same.
In the main menu of version 4.0, under "GENERATE RETURNS FOR SUBMISSION TO EPFO," you have the option to generate an ECR text file for uploading in the Employer e-Sewa (online upload of ECR data). Please note that, apart from wage data, you have to input employee exit and entry details in the E-Return tool before proceeding.

It's better to use the e-return tool for all your activities. Regularly update employees' details, such as Date of Joining (DOJ) for new employees, exit date for those who have left, wage changes, etc., in the e-return tool v.4.0 for ECR file creation and other reports.

(My system config is intel dual core, 2GB RAM, 500 HDD & OS � windows 7 Prof)
1. In report for employers: - there is no report format for currently active members in organization.
2. How to backup (on transfer the DATA on another computer) our establishment�s data.
App_Code folder (Bakup.mdb, est.mdb, form3a.mdb, ret.mdb)
The DATA (est details, employee personal & monthly data) in above .mdb file can only displayed when these .mdb files in this path C:\program file/ EPFO/App_code
For backup of App_Code folder (Bakup.mdb, est.mdb, form3a.mdb, ret.mdb)
I tried to copy the App_Code folder (Bakup.mdb, est.mdb, form3a.mdb, ret.mdb) to my desktop / another computer�s desktop / C:\program file/ EPFO/App_code,
Then there is no data available in above .mdb file.
I also open the password protected files (Bakup.mdb & ret.mdb), but there is no data available.
So please let me know, if my computer have any kind of HDD problem & I want to transfer the DATA to another computer for E return tool, then how to backup App_code folder with all DATA.

Hello, sir. There are two things related to this case:
1. Backup the database internally within the same computer via the e-return tool v4.0. To do this, open the e-return tool v4.0, go to System Admin, then Backup and Restore, and select Backup Database.
2. If you want to transfer your old data to a new computer, follow these steps: In the old system, navigate to C:Program FilesEPFOE Return SetupApp_code, and copy all .dbs files to a new folder. Next, install the e-return tool v4.0 on your new computer, open C:Program FilesEPFOE Return SetupApp_code, paste all the .dbs files you previously copied, restart the system, and then open the e-return tool v4.0 on your new computer. You should now be able to access all your old organization data.

Hi everyone, I am facing a problem logging into the E-Return Tool version 4.0. It shows that the username or password is incorrect, but using the same user ID and password, I can always log in to Employer Esewa Services. Please help me overcome this issue.
