Hi,

Which is the best method of performance appraisal for the employees who are deputed with the client? Does getting an appraisal form filled out by the employee online and sitting with the Reporting Authority at the client's location for feedback provide an accurate picture?

This one is tricky. Performance Management, as a tool, is comparative, and hence the perceived justice in terms of what is done with the post-evaluation data is critical. Getting a system set up and having forms filled in by direct onsite managers isn't difficult. What would be a task is creating a reward and development process that's perceived just by employees. Surely doable; however, as a business model, there may be setbacks as consulting models are less supportive of career plans. That's my perceived experience.
