Dear All,
Our company wishes to provide training to a few of our employees to create a Rescue Team capable of dealing with emergencies in Confined Spaces, Heights Works, etc.
If you are aware of any firms that offer such training, please let me know. We would like the training provider to come to our plant and train our employees to become professional rescuers.

Mr. Dilip,
Here, I am attaching the mock drill observation report with some photos conducted at our site recently. After reading this, you will get a clear idea about the mock drill.
In your statement, I am not clear whether you want details about conducting height work training or an emergency mock drill for height work. One thing you should know is there is a vast difference between mock drill training and height work training.
I couldn't find the time to mention everything here. For any clarification, feel free to call me anytime at the contact number below.

Dear Mr. Dipil,
First of all, please accept my sincere appreciation for initiating such a useful brainstorming debate at this needy hour.
Please have a check on [S.T.A.R.T. Rescue Training, Inc. - Technical Rescue Specialists](http://www.startrescue.com/), [The International Rescue Corps - Home Page](http://www.intrescue.org/), and [ADRA India](http://adraindia.org) *<link updated to site home>*, which I have checked from a [Google](http://www.google.com) search.
Normally, you can appoint an ex-serviceman, preferably from the Ground Training Instructor trade, who can provide better in-house training to all the staff members of your organization in rescue training.
Rescue from Drowning, Rescue from Fire, Rescue from Height in case of an earthquake or tremor, Rescue in case of being trapped during Height work, and Rescue from a Confined work area are to be given importance while giving training.
In the first hour of training itself, you must reiterate to all the staff that in case of any emergency, they have to call the appropriate people and convey the nature of the occurrence, place of the incident, name and details of the victim to be rescued, and other relevant details to be conveyed without creating any panic at the incident place.
A Personnel Suspended Work Platform (Emergency Man Basket) must be made readily available on the worksite to use during the Height work Rescue process.

Dear Mr. Bhuvaneshwaran,
First of all, thank you for spending your valuable time replying to my query. My query was not about conducting a mock drill. Our organization wishes to impart training to about 15 persons to create 3 rescue teams. We aim to ensure the availability of these trained rescuers in each shift so they can handle any emergency, whether it occurs while working at height or inside a confined space. We are seeking an organization that can provide professional training to these individuals to make them perfect rescuers.
Your attachment referenced what I intended, the Rescue team (Page No:2, Rescue team went on a walkway slab in a man basket with the help of a crane). Therefore, I aim to establish a well-trained rescue team in my organization.
I will give you a call to discuss more on the topic.
Thank you.

Dear Mr. Bhaskar,
Thank you very much for coming up with your advice on this topic. I think among the links you provided, ADRA India can help me. I have already sent them a query. Let's wait for the reply. Tomorrow, I will talk with them as well.
Presently, as per our On-Site Emergency Plan, any kind of emergency situations are handled by the Security Personnel (usually ex-servicemen). However, they are not very familiar with using the modern Rescue Equipment available on site. I believe that if we provide them with professional training for three days or even one week, they can yield good results.
The use of rescue arrangements such as ascender, descender, tripod, etc. at the right time and in the right manner can save precious human lives.
Once again, thanks a lot for your inputs.

Dear Dipil, In Malaysia we normally engage the services of the Fire & Rescue Department. They have the necessary equipment and the personnel with the most experience to give this kind of training.

Dear Dipil,
Assess and list the types of rescue training you may require. Since training for one type of rescue may not suit another, the industrial rescue team should be trained for rescue in all the emergencies foreseen.
For example, confined space rescue may be different from a cave-in situation or rescue from water. The equipment used also differs from one situation to another. There may be many types of rescue titles to list.
Rope Rescue, Fall protection rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Trench Rescue, Structural Collapse, Tower Rescue, Water Rescue and Team Building, Hazardous Material – Rescue, Flood rescue, Earthquake rescue, Landslide rescue, Fire rescue, Ocean rescue, Hostage rescue, Mine rescue, Mountain rescue, Home emergency rescue, Multi-storied building rescue, Cave rescue, Deep well rescue, Rescue from road and rail accidents, Rescue from toxic chemicals exposure, and so on; the list is extensive.
In India, there is not a single private source that can provide training in all types of rescue systems.
My advice is, if military/Air Force units are nearby your place, approach their commandants and seek help from them. I am sure they will be happy to take up such training for free. In fact, it will be considered a privilege by the officer.
There will be District Fire stations nearby your place. Just approach them, and they will be happy to give you training free of cost. The only thing they will advise your trainees is to wear appropriate uniforms, including prescribed PT shoes for the training.
While working in India, I have utilized services from both the Air Force and District Fire Department for training my employees. Most safety personnel may not know that they are, in fact, waiting for someone to approach them for such services, which will be a feather in their caps.
After completing their training with them, if you still have some items left, kindly post it; I may be able to help further.
